Aquarius to Study Ocean Salinity
The Aquarius/SAC-D Observatory was launched into its polar orbit of the Earth on June 10 from Vandenberg Air Force Base in Calif. Aquarius will measure the amount of salt in ocean waters around the globe. Salinity affects ocean circulation and climate. Public domain (curated collection) Year: 2011
